Week In Review

As you go through the pictures I'll try to explain them.

Jen had some time before the General Relief Society Meeting and the Stake activity to stop by. She fed Kai for me and read a book at the same time. She's so good at multi-tasking. We love our Jennie! She's the best and most favorite of Aunts...Heather you're loved too.

We had a family night of playing games. While Kait was picking out a game she fell over in the closet and got stuck. It was too funny. We so need to clean that closet out and the games...we do it often but yet it still gets crazy. Oh well. We love playing games. The favorite one lately is Pictionary.

Kaijsa has continued to play the piano. She is getting pretty good at it. I love to sit and listen to her play. I know my mom would be so happy that she's using the piano and loves it. I'd love to play it too but can't seem to find the time...where does it go?

Kam loved FHE until the end. We made cookies to give to some families. The girls did a good lesson about how Families are like the cookies. We need every family member, we're each special and important just like the ingredients. It was fun. Kamden just didn't want to give the cookies away. We did anyways and had fun sharing them. He also looked so cute in his suit Sunday. We got him 2 new shirts and they came with ties for Church. It's amazing how fast he grows out of his clothes. So tall and so skinny! My little boy looked so grown up with his suit on and haircut. Such a cute missionary he'll someday be.

Kinsee Belle is being her usual mischievous self. We love her anyways. She is so stubborn...wonder where she gets that trait from? My friend Melissa made me some hair bows and clips for Kinsee and Kai. They are so cute and we love them! Thank you Melissa! She is so crafty and fun to have around.

Kai is getting so big. She's 3 months old now and the time is going by so fast! Faster with her than the others...maybe because she's the last one. Time is a funny thing. Anyways...we took her to go get her ears pierced and she was a trooper. Hardly cried at all. She looks so cute with her little earrings in. She is smiling all the time and "talking" too. She loves her sisters and brother. She always smiles for Kamden, so cute. She is such a great and wonderful baby. I'm blessed she's so easy going.

Love my family. The kids are growing up and turning into such lovely kids. So thoughtful and full of love. I'm so blessed to have each and every one of them. Thank you Kaijsa and Kaitlyn for all you do. Thank you Kam and Kinsee Belle for the fun you provide in my life. Thank you Kai for the peace you bring to me and my spirit. Thank you Larry Dean for loving us and helping out around the house and with the kids. I got to have a night out the other night and it was so much fun to hang out with the girls.

Here's to a week gone and another one beginning....hope it goes smoothly.

Kai and family time

The first three pictures are of us together playing games. We had lots of fun being together as a family. Love family time.

The last 2 pictures are of Kai. She turns 3 months this week and the time has gone by so fast. She is the best baby. I know I've said this before but it really is true. She sleeps through the night and always has. She hardly ever cries and has the most beautiful smile and voice. She is cooing and smiling and it lights up her whole face. She is such a joy to have in our family. She truly is a blessing. We love our Kaileigh Jeanette. Kai we love you! You are our sugar baby. You are growing so fast and learning to do so much. She is pushing up and rolling over at times already. Before we know it she'll be crawling and walking. I want her to stay little. Her spirit soothes us. Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with her. Thank you mom for watching over her till she came to be with us. Thank you Kai for choosing our family. Love you!

Missionaries...we love them

This is a tribute to the Elders. We love the Elders. They come and help us out and do service for us. Larry goes out with them and spends time with them which is great for him, them and our family. We are so blessed to have them in our home. We love you Elders. They are good boys doing a great work. I loved my mission and love that they include us in the work. They are having success due to their love and service. May the Lord bless all the missionaries.

Happy Birthday Mom/GramE

Today is my mom's birthday. My sister and I went to the cemetery to visit her yesterday. It's nice to go visit her but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. I really do miss her. I'm sad that she's missing out on my kids and all they are doing. Mom we love you and think of you all the time. You were smart, sensitive, kind, loving, forgiving and everything a mom should be. You were amazing and the best mom! Love you and miss you!

Kaijsa Moments...

If you see the title I'm not sure I need to say too much more. We've had some very good Kaijsa moments this week. For those of you who know her these moments are usually followed by much awe and laughter.

The first moment came while we were eating at IHOP. We were looking at the menu trying to figure out what to eat when Kaijsa piped up saying, "oh look! next year when I'm a Senior I can eat off the senior menu! They have a menu just for seniors!" We of course looked at her to see if she was really serious. She of course was and we had to explain to her that the Senior Menu is for senior citizens...which are people 55 and older or 62 and older (depending on where you live and where you're at). We love our IHOP because kids eat free!

The next moments were tonight. Dad and Jen came over to have dessert and to play a game. We were playing pictionary which for the girls is a hard game. They often ask, "what is this word?" After we finished playing Papa/Dad asked if we knew how to convert a record into a CD or where we could get this done. Andrew has the old record player so we can't just record the record very easily. Kaijsa states, "Wait, is a record those big black thingies that look like cd's?" We laughed and said yes...she then replied, "how did you play those in your car?" More laughter followed and we said "we didn't". Then it was like what did you listen to? She's crazy. Larry then goes on to ask Kaijsa if she knows what an 8 Track is...she says, "is it something you run?" Oh Kaijsa we love you. You are so funny.

Also, while we were eating Kaijsa got done early and went over to sit on the couch. We turned around and saw Kaijsa hanging upside down and trying to touch her tongue to her nose. We asked her what she was doing and she said she was trying to touch her tongue to her nose. We asked her why she was she hanging upside down to do this. Her answer was "I thought hanging upside down would help me touch my tongue to my nose easier." Just thinking of her at times makes me laugh.

Hope y'all found these moments funny like we did. We laughed hard. Kaijsa is a great girl and keeps us laughing.

Way To Go Kaitlyn!

Earlier this week Kait auditioned for her school musical. This year they are performing Annie. She was trying out for either the role of Ms Hannigan or Grace. She had her audition on Tuesday. She had a song she had to learn, her lines to memorize and a dance step to learn. She did so well that she was asked to come back last night to teach it to the last group of students auditioning! She found out today that she'll be ANNIE! We are so proud of her. She will make a great Annie. So for the next couple of months we'll be breathing, eating, sleeping, and dreaming of Annie. We can't wait to see her perform. Break a leg Kait! We love you!

Update on Kaileigh

Kai had her 2 month check up this past week. I'm a little late in taking her but I went when I could. I wanted to share her update with y'all. She is just over 2 months old and is now almost 12 lbs and she is 24 inches long! She holds her head up and pushes herself up on her arms. She looks around and she's even rolled over a few times. The Dr. was very impressed with her and said she's healthy and happy. She is a great baby and has the sweetest disposition. We love her! Kam is the sweetest big brother to her and is a huge help to me with her. Kinsee Belle also helps quite a bit and loves her sister. Kaijsa and Kaitlyn are of course terrific big sisters and a huge help. Kai is still happy and quiet and content to be with you. She doesn't like to be alone but will quietly sit in the room with you. She is still a snuggler which we all love and enjoy. She sleeps through the nights which is a huge blessing to me since I work late. We love you Kaileigh Jeanette!

Happy Birthday Grandpa - Alfred Noah Pullen!

Happy Birthday Grandpa/Great-Grandpa! We love you. I know he won't see this but I wanted to say something about him anyways. My Grandpa is a wonderful man. He loved my mom and took care of her like she was his own daughter. He took my mom on every date when he was dating my Grandma. He has always loved us. I remember my summer I spent with him and Grandma, it was a great summer. The took me to the beach and into St. Augustine. I had so much fun. He lives in Missouri so I don't get to see him often but I think of him and Grandma lots. I also remember him coming to help fix up our houses with my dad during the summers and visiting him and grandma in Colorado the summer they worked there. So many fond memories. He is a wonderful Great-grandpa to my kids and the other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When I married Larry and inherited his 3 lovely daughters my Grandpa's advice was to love them as my own. I have tried to do that every day. Thank you Grandpa for all you did for my mom and all you've done for my family and I. We love you!

Happy Birthday to the Greatest Sister Ever!

Happy Birthday Jennie! We love you from the top of your head to the tips of your pinky toes! I put together some of the pics from the last year of Jen with our family. She is the greatest sister, sister-in-law (for Larry), Aunt, and Daughter. Jen you have blessed us all so much. I'm so glad you live close by. You are so willing to help us and love us. Thank you for all you do. I know you'll be blessed for all the service you provide. I feel like we've been able to grow closer as sisters because you are nearby. Jen is my baby sister but in some ways so much wiser than me. Thank you! We love you! We were able to make her some homemade oreos and take them to her work for her birthday. They were yummy and Kam and Kinsee Belle still talk about making them for you and giving them to you. I'm sorry we couldn't do more but are thankful you enjoyed what we did give you. We made some homemade cards and had a great time being with her. Our lives can get pretty busy/crazy but she is there for us and we are there for you. We hope you have a wonderful year and that some if not all your dreams come true.

Kaijsa and Kaitlyn's Room

Kaijsa and Kaitlyn's room is now done. Kaijsa and her friend Jordan worked on it last night. Kaitlyn and I helped some with the painting but mostly it was the girls. Kaijsa and Kait then let it dry overnight and put it all back together this morning. I think it looks pretty good. The walls are a bit bare but I'm sure they'll fix that pretty quickly. There is a mirror that needs to be put up but it is more complicated than I'm ready for or willing to do. So that will wait till Larry is feeling better or someone who knows what they're doing does it. The blue is calming and the brown stripe is fun. I think the room looks bigger but that could be because it's clean. LOL. Good job girls the room looks great! Now...to keep it clean and pretty.

Painting

So, on the spur of the moment I decided to paint my kitchen. My whole house needs a pick-me-up and the kitchen is the first place I started. I love yellow and I love orange so the color is somewhere in the middle. I now call it my pumpkin room. I love it. It is cheery and lovely. The sad part is that the other wall and 1/2 now need something because they look dirtier and blander than ever. I'll do that someday but not just this moment.

The pictures are from sort of different angles and with different light so you can see the color. I do have my Halloween Decorations up as well. For as much as I love Halloween I have ZERO decorations for that holiday. Bummer. Anyways...the kitchen is my new favorite.
Kamden and Kinsee's rooms are painted as you saw pictures posted quite a while back. Now it's Kaijsa and Kaitln's turn. We are currently in process of painting their room Blue with a brown stripe across the top. I think it will be very cute. Kaijsa with her new job has bought some new decorations for the room and herself a new comforter set. Once it's done and they organize it I think it will be cute and more grown up. I'm excited to see it finished...which I hope is in a day or two. They are hoping so too as all their stuff is everywhere and little kids are getting into it. Plus they are on the couches till they can get back into their room.
After this is all done I think I'll consider the next color and room. I'm thinking my dining/living area downstairs but we'll see.

The next few pics are of Kinsee's hair today. It turned out so cute I had to take a picture. Kamden saw her once she was all dolled up and told her she looked like Cinderella. He is so cute! Such a sweet big brother.

And of course I can't forget my beautiful Kai...she is so sweet and still a wonderful baby. Kam told her she looked like "seeping ubey" which in Kamden language is Sleeping Beauty. She is so cute and the three of them are so cute together. I think Kai looks a lot like Kamden when he was a baby.

That's all for now. We've had a busy week. Kait went to her Volleyball tournament, she's the manager of the team, and was gone all day Saturday. We won!!! Yeah Wildcats! Kaijsa has been helping me out with the kids and painting. She is a huge help. Love you Kaijsa! Kam and Kinsee are being the 3 and 2 year olds that they are. Enough said. Kaileigh is getting big and a joy to have around.
Love you kids!!! Miss you Kira!

Also, Happy Birthday to my Miranda Kate! She turned 8 and was baptized yesterday. Maybe my Sister and Dad took some pics that they'll let me have and I can do a post just for her. :) hint hint.
Happy Labor Day everyone and have a good week! Love you family of mine!

Kaileigh Jeanette at 2 Months!

A new family moved into the Ward with girls Kaijsa's age. We love them! The Thomas' are wonderful. Gary came over the other day so we had to get a picture of him with Kai. They are a fun family and we are so glad they are here now.

The other night after putting the kids to bed we discovered that Kam and Kinsee had snuck back into his room together and fallen asleep. They are so cute. They "read" stories together and listen to music and then go to bed. It was such a precious moment. They are so good to eachother and Kamden is a sweet brother. He loves all his sisters but seems to have a special bond with Kinsee Belle.

Kaileigh is now 2 months old. She is getting so big! She has rolled over a couple of times but nothing steady. She is cooing and smiling and is such a doll!. We love the sweetness of her voice and love it when she "talks" to us. Her smiles are so adorable and make us all happy. Kai we love you! Don't grow up too fast ok? We are so blessed to have her spirit in our home.

We love our kids and are blessed to have them as part of our family. Kaijsa and Kaitlyn are doing well in school. Kira is doing well too from what we can gather. Kamden and Kinsee are learning and growing as well. I am going to try and teach them at home till next year when he will start Pre-K...if I can find a place I like. Kai is developing so quickly. She'll get her shots next week and then her ears pierced! Love our girls and fun loving boy!

Playgroup Fun!

Today was Playgroup and Melissa got us a tour of one of Cedar Hill's Fire Stations. It was so much fun! Thank you Melissa! Larry and I took the 3 little ones to the Firehouse and had a great time! Kamden was soooo excited until he saw them all dressed up in their uniform. Then he got a little scared. He overcame the fear to take a picture with him and put on the hat. Kinsee is fearless and just walked up and put on the hat. They are so cute in the Fireman's Hat. Kaileigh was great throughout the whole tour. They let us climb all over the truck, jump on their beds and workout in their weight room. We also got to watch cartoons on their big TV before the tour began. The sirens went off and the horn was honked. It turned out to be a great day and a fun experience. Plus it's always nice for the kids to get together and us mom's too. I'm glad Larry was able to go with us, he had a good time and was just like a kid himself. It's been a while since we'd been to playgroup because of how busy our summer was but are ready to get back into the swing of things. I love routines and Playgroup is definitely part of our routine. Thank you to all the Firemen out there and Police Officers and other Service Officers for all you do. We love and appreciate each one of you!

Wanting to be like my big sisters and mommy...

All was quiet one morning when Kinsee Belle came down and said look at my pretty eyes! I looked and had to get a picture. She has way too many older sisters plus me. She is always watching us put on our make-up and wants to put on some too. So she found Kait's make-up and tried. She is such a doll. She even picked out good colors for her pretty blue eyes but she just missed her eyelids. LOL Oh Kinsee Belle, don't grow up too fast. You are so cute. Love you Belle!
