Computer / Blogging Stupid

So, I am computer/blogging stupid. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put a picture along the side of my blog. I can see how to put a single picture up in a post but not along the edge. I have tried making my pictures different sized thinking mine were too big but that didn't make any difference. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but I can't do it. Even my computer savy hubby doesn't know what I'm doing wrong. So...all that being said...I have downloaded our family photos as a slide show. I have put quite a few in the show because we had so many taken and they all turned out so cute! I am very proud of my family and love each one of them more than words can say.

Larry is a wonderful Father and Husband. He has a lot of love for each of us. He has his struggles but we all know he's there for us.

Kaijsa is a gem and has been horribly missed. The little ones are constantly asking where she is and when she'll be home. Kamden goes around the house in the mornings saying "Kaijsa where are you?" It's so sad and cute at the same time.

Kaitlyn is missed and will be missed even more when she doesn't come back with Kaijsa. She was a great addition to the family. It was wonderful to see her and Kaijsa's relationship grow and develop while she was here. Maybe someday she'll decide to come back but as long as she is happy we are happy for her.

Kira is amazing with kids. The babies loved playing with her and she was such a big help. So willing to help out with them and with the chores around the house. She blends in and it's like she's never not with us. We love having her around. She is also a great entertainer and her shows were fantastic. You may just see her on TV someday.

Kamden has the greatest laugh and the biggest heart. I have loved seeing him grow closer and develop a bond with all of his sisters. I hope someday he has a brother to play with but we'll see. He is learning so fast and talking more and more. I love to see the new things he's picked up on and now realize that we truly do need to watch what we say as he is copying us. Who will be the best example, him or us?

Kinsee Belle loves everyone. She is sunshine and light and laughter. She is so cute and is growing up so fast. She points to all the pictures on our family wall and recognizes faces. She is amazing. I can't wait till she can speak and tell us what is on her mind. I can tell already that she is going to be sassy and right now that is cute and fun but when she's older...not so much. She has started to pick up on some sign language which I love to see my kids do.

Family is wonderful and I have come to realize lately how much I love them all and how much I need them in my life. They help me to be a better person, wife and mother. I love you Saling Crew!

Playing

I took Kam and Kinsee to the new shopping center down the street. It is a very cool place. I'll have to take them back and get some more pictures with them there as they have a lot of fun things to do. There is water to play in, a giant Chess game and giant Checkers board, there is the Dino-Land playland and then lots of shopping and eating. It will be at this shopping center that I go to on Friday at midnight for the Twilight Party. I'm so excited for that. I'm currently re-reading them all again to be ready for the new book on Saturday. I"m getting off track...the kids...Kamden loves dinosaurs and so it is great fun to take him here to play. The only trick is going early in the morning before it gets too hot as the designers of this area are brain dead and didn't cover it. So in TX language that means that once the sun comes out it's too hot to play on the dinosaurs or to walk around barefoot. Not sure who designed it but they need to re-think their plans. So I took them before I started to work one morning and it was fun. They are so cute when playing together. Plus they love the outdoors. It's been too hot to let them outside the last couple of weeks so they are going crazy being inside. Oh well, joys of being a Texan.

I have discovered...

I have discovered that blogging is very helpful and lots of fun to do. I love finding people to add to my site. I love reading other people's blogs. I love finding new things to add to my blog or to change my blog with. I love writing down my thoughts and find it easier to do here than in my journal, although I do still write in my journal. I love my family and the gospel. I love to take time to realize that I do have many blessings and my life is very richly blessed.

Today is Sunday. Although Sundays aren't quite like they used to be I still cherish this day. It's funny how Sundays change as we grow up. When you're a kid you want to be able to go do things and play with friends but find that your parents say it's a day of rest and family. I hated that then but came to appreciate it as I got older. I'm so grateful for this one day to truly spend alone and with family. Then you get older and you make the choices of what your Sunday is going to be like. Do I work, don't I? Do I hang out with friends or don't I? Do I shop or not? Now I have not always been very good about not doing some of these things but I try. When you're in College you can make Sundays truly your day. I could rest, read my scriptures, write in my journal, spend time with roommates and friends talking about the gospel, attend firesides, and truly enjoy the quiet of the day. You make goals of what your Sundays are going to be like when you have a family. Some of these goals may come to pass but in my life these goals sometimes work out but sometimes do not. We go to church, but with little kids you may not hear all you want to hear or feel the spirit like you hope. We rest, when the kids do. We do spend time together as a family which I feel is the most important, besides Church of course. It's the moments of family time, taking walks, and being together that we remember most. I just wanted to take a moment and share that I love the gospel. I love my family. I love Sundays and all it represents.

I hope everyone takes time to Count Your Many Blessings and remember that Families Can Be Together Forever. Also, Let The Holy Spirit Guide and you'll be led to where you're supposed to be.

The little ones are finally at the age where they love to play together. It is so great to see them interact with eachother. They are so cute together. They play and chase one another and treat eachother rather well. A few upsets when Kinsee takes Kamden's toys and food and drinks but other than that it's great. They are even getting better about going off to play while I work so I can get some stuff done. YEAH!

Summer Days

Without the 3 older girls around the little ones are getting a little restelss. Larry and I took them to the park down the street for some run around time. Anything to make them tired so they'll nap. I know some of you know what I mean. hehe. So we did some swinging, climbing, driving, walking, sliding and all in almost 100 degrees at 9am. TX heat makes us all tired but we love being outdoors so we play through it. Now that the weekend is done we'll start the week of by cleaning up our messes and then playing some more. Summer is almost over so we need to make the most of it. Although TX summers last a couple more months then UT summers where our other family members live.

Good-bye

I posted some of the pictures of the girls just before they left. When we said good-bye we thought it was good-bye just to Kira but as it turns out Kaitlyn has been persuaded to stay in UT too. She will not be returning at this time. We do hope she changes her mind and comes back home but each child needs to learn how to made decisions and have consequences or blessings to their choices. Each one of us needs to learn to pray, hear answers to prayers and either follow the counsel given or turn away from that counsel. We will miss her and will look foward to seeing her again around Christmas time. We do get our family together for Christmas this year! YEAH! It is always sad to see our family torn apart but it's always so nice when we are all back together. Kaijsa will be home in just over 3 weeks and we can't wait. She is such a gem and a blessing. She is a wonderful daughter of God.

I don't have much time now but will add some more pictures of the little ones in a day or so. Our computer was down and Larry was able to get it fixed but I need some more time to get it all together so check back in a few days and hopefully there will be some more updates.

Fun

Ok, this is a thank you to Jessie, the girl's aunt, because she helped me figure out how to make my site a little cuter. Thank you Jess! Now I'm having a little more fun with this site. The Twilight additions are for Kaitlyn. Our Kait is in love with this story and is a complete addict. She is constantly talking about when the movie comes out, when the next book comes out, has the countdown on our computer and keeps us posted on all the movie trailers. It is so cute. I think it's great she likes it so much. Her aunt Jen and I do too. So Kaitlyn here's to you!

Kaijsa at Camp

Kaijsa spent several days at Girl's Camp and ended up having a good time. I need to clarify Girl's Camp though since they don't really camp. They have air conditioned modular homes, they have beds, they have people cooking for them, and they do all their signing off of skills before they go. So basically they go "camping" to just hang out. They do have testimony meetings and bonding times. Since Kaijsa was a 4th year this year they would normally do a long hike but instead they decided to go Rock Climbing. I have put up a couple of pictures of her and her friends at "Camp".

I'm so glad she has the chance to do this. I loved girl's camp when I was her age and have great memories of that time. It's great to see her go and to hear her stories. It is such a learning and growing time. I'm proud of her for going and developing the skills that will help her all her life.

Kaijsa doing dishes

The other day Kaijsa was helping out around the house and noticed the dishes needed to be done. Dishes always need to be done here but that's another story. We were out of dishwasher soap and I wasn't around to ask where the new box was so she took the initiative and put in the dish soap she found. Needless to say it wasn't exactly the right kind. I went to open the dishwasher later and discovered soap bubbles all over the place inside the dishwasher. Luckily none escaped outside. Hehe. We explained to her there are different soaps for laundry, hand washing dishes and washing in the dishwasher. Too funny. Not sure you can see it in the pictures but I had to take a picture of the bubbles. We love you Kaijsa!

Family Night

The slide show is from our Family Night. We sang Karoke (I have no idea how to spell that) and jammed out. It was a lot of fun. The girls are great at putting on shows. Larry isn't too bad either, he even dresses up for the part. It was country night this time but we do have pop night too.

Here is a picture of Kaitlyn and Kira singing Karoke and putting on a show. We all took turns and once I figure out how this site works I'll put some more pics up. I'm computer dumb so it may take me a while. They are such wonderful singers.
