Bummer

I hate posting w/out pictures but once again we are missing our camera. For some reason we can't keep track of them. I'm so frustrated and sad about it. It was a fantastic gift from Papa, sorry Papa. We took it to a soccer game and then discovered when we got home that we can't find the camera. Not sure what happened but we are still looking in hopes of finding it. It was the best camera. Life goes on. Busy with work, school, kids, home, sports, and life. Kaitlyn is done with her TAKS tests and feels they went really well. Soccer has a month left and T-ball for Kam is almost over. We've had several rain outs but that's ok. It's been a good first season for us to realize how busy kids in sports can make a family. Whew! Kaijsa, Kaitlyn, and Larry are all practicing for the Ward Talent Show. Kaijsa starts college in a couple of weeks. All is well in the Saling home. Kam and Kins are potty trained for day, now to just figure out the night thing. UGH. Kai is a doll and getting all of her teeth back to back so is in constant achiness but is such a trooper. Now for summer to arrive!

Happy Birthday Kaijsa Ray Saling!

Our wonderful Kaijsa is now 17 years old. I can hardly believe she is so old. :) Kaijsa...you are a terrific daughter and we love you. You have blessed our lives immensely. You do so much for your little sisters and brother and you do so much for your dad and I. Thank you. Thank you for your sweet spirit and the laughter you bring into our home. Thank you for loving the gospel and making it a part of your life. We can't tell you how much you mean to us or how thankful we are for you. You have turned into a lovely young woman. You achieved a lot this year...you received your Young Womanhood in Recognition Award, you have become a great piano player, and you're getting ready to start college. There have been changes and struggles but you've overcome them with strength and grace. We love you Kaijsa! You are a special daughter in our family and daughter of God. May you continue to learn and grow and realize how special you truly are.

The Week of Birthdays

We celebrated some birthdays this week. Our lovely Kaijsa turned 17 and I turned 35. Yes I'll say it 35 years old. Wow. We had fun and received some great gifts.

Kaijsa is now 17, she will start her college classes in June but signs up for them in a week or two. She's becoming such a grown up I can hardly believe it. She picked the Spaghetti Wharehouse for dinner with Papa and Jennie which was super yummy. I tried to make a cute cake but it flopped. I made a piano but it flopped I think. I've come to realize the older they are the harder for me to make a cute cake. At least I tried though right? She got some cute clothes, shoes, jewelry, a book "The Last Song", a beautiful church piano book, and a picture of Christ. She chose to go to Adventure Landing on her Birthday and we had a great time. Miniature golfing, Lazer tag and video games. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time celebrating.

The next day was my birthday. I got a cute purse, some books, a swim suit, a new comforter for my bed and some paint to paint my room. I'm super excited about all of it. The girls got me a cute necklace and a pretty flower we can wear in our hair. We went with some friends to Babe's Chicken and loved it. The food there is so fantastic. They sang to Kaijsa and I which did require us to put on the chicken hat and do the chicken dance. Thankfully this year those pictures didn't turn out so I didn't have to put them up. :) Loved the gifts, food, friends and family. The family watched the little ones for me so I was able to take a nap too. They do this for me all the time but it was extra nice on this day. Thank you for a wonderful birthday everyone!

So another year goes by and another comes foward. We are blessed with a comfortable home, close family and many other blessings. We love y'all!

Surprise! Saling Baby #7

As you can see on the side...yes we are having another bundle of joy! We are expecting in early Nov which means end of Oct or first of Nov. We were very surprised by the news but have come to be excited. I have no expectations of either boy or girl this time so will be ready for either. I have given all/most of the baby stuff away so we'll see what we're having before getting anything. I'm glad for a winter baby because that means I won't be completely miserable this summer. Even though the baby is a surprise we love him/her and will be blessed with the spirit in our home. I figure my mom and Heavenly Father must know more than me as they are up in Heaven sending me this spirit so I won't argue and just trust in them. I do hope that he/she is calm and relaxed like Kai as she has been a wonderful baby. We are spoiled with her sweet spirit after the fun craziness of Kam and Kinsee Belle. :) I love all my children and this one too. Kaijsa and Kaitlyn are happy now that the shock has worn off. We'll let Kira know soon. Kam, Kins and Kai, we'll let just figure it out. We don't want too many "when will it be here?" We are hoping to find out the sex in June while Kira is with us. Again welcome new little one, you will be loved and you will be our last. :)
Congrats to the Grandparents on the new grandbaby! Congrats to the Aunts, Uncles, and cousins too!
This was a surprise birthday gift for me and one I'll get to always remember.

Easter Fun

I have so much to post but I'll have to do it a little at a time. I posted a minute ago the recital Kaijsa had. Now it's a few more Easter pictures. I posted the kids dressed up before and the coloring of eggs. This time it was receiving the baskets and hunting for eggs. We had a wonderful Easter this year. The Myers, my sister Jen and my Dad came over to eat. We all participated in the dinner so it wasn't overwhelming. The food was fabulous and the friends and family wonderful. I love Easter and all it represents. A new beginning, a forgiveness, and spring. I love spring. Larry got me Easter Lillies this year and they smelled wonderful, reminded me of Hawaii. Thank you Larry, Kaijsa, Kaitlyn, Kira, Kamden, Kinsee and Kaileigh for being such a wonderful family. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and kids. Y'all help me so much and I appreciate all you do. I love my Savior and this time to remember him and be thankful for Him. We are enjoying beautiful weather and that is a bonus as well. We are blessed and grateful every day for all we have. We hope all y'all had a great Easter Season.

Jen and Kai

I just love these pictures so had to post them. Kai is so cute and she had a fun day with Jen yesterday. Jen watched the little ones for us while Larry and I went to Kaitlyn's soccer game. The Gators lost but it was fun to go watch her play. It was a beautiful day out and I have a lovely sunburn to show it. Thank Jen for being a great sister and Aunt! Thank you for watching the kiddos. We love you and they had a ton of fun! Thanks also to you and Papa for taking us to see How To Train Your Dragon. It was such a cute movie and fun to see it all together. Love you Jen. Thanks for everything!

Kaijsa's Prom - Lasso The Moon

Here are the pictures we have of Kaijsa and her friends on Prom night. Kaijsa looked so beautiful and grown up. I must admit that it was a bit hard for me. I'm not sure I'm ready for her to be so grown up. I remember my Junior Prom and am glad Kaijsa had such a great time. She has wonderful friends and she had a good time. They had dinner, dancing and pictures. She also got a T-shirt for her memorabilia. The dance was in Dallas and was with 8 Stakes. We're so thankful the Church puts a Prom on for the kids so they can have a clean fun environment. The kids looked wonderful and we as parents didn't have to worry about anything. We love you Kaijsa. We love your friends. We're so glad you had a good time and you looked lovely. You're growing into a beautiful young lady. Love you.
