Haircuts and the Weekend

Here is the before picture of Kaijsa and Kinsee Belle. We got their hairs cut for birthday and just because. Kaijsa decided to get her hair cut for her 16th birthday. It's a very cute cut and we think it makes her look older. Here is the after shot.

Kinsee's cut is also very cute. It is her first haircut and now all her cute curls are gone. I was sad but think it's cute. It just needed to be evened out so badly that it had to be done. I do hope the curls grow back. Here is the process of her first haircut...





That is their new hair styles. Larry and I think they turned out so cute. Kaijsa loves it but is adjusting to figuring out how to do it. Kinsee's is easy to do and I'm still able to do some cute styles with it.
The next picture is just a cute one of Larry and Kinsee this morning before church. She is such a cutie and so is my adorable hubby.

Kamden and Kinsee have discovered Spongebob Squarepants. That is what was on this morning that she couldn't take her eyes off of the TV. It's so funny.
This was our weekend, haircuts and relaxing. It was nice to be able to relax some, although I have a ton of house cleaning and laundry to do. Oh well...someday it will get done. We've also been going through baby clothes and packing up the boy clothes and going through the girl clothes. Some we'll keep others we'll try selling at a yard sale. My goal is to organize our home and garage. :) Dreams do come true someday. :) We are also figuring out where and how to put everyone since our family is growing. There will be some sharing of rooms, which isn't loved by all but is a necessity. We are doing well and ready for Kaileigh to arrive. I am so curious as to what she'll look like. The girls are doing well and have picked out their classes for next year. Summer plans are either made or being made. Kaijsa is on the countdown to her birthday which just reminds me of mine. Why is it when we're young we love birthdays but when we hit 25 or 30 we can't stand them anymore? Have a good week everyone! I'll post more next week of some early Easter festivities.

Spring Break

Here are just a couple of pictures from last week. The girls were on Spring Break and unfortunately we weren't able to do much but we did have fun. It was nice to let the house go, play in the sun, and just enjoy being together. Kamden and Kinsee loved having Kaijsa and Kaitlyn at home. The poor girls were never able to sleep in because of one thing or another but they were troopers about it. They stayed up late with me and watched movies with me while I worked late. The blessing and joy of working from home. We had some good dinners and tried some new recipes. I'm so glad the weather was beautiful because they all got to play outside and become early bathing beauties. There were a few sunburns but mostly nice tanning. Kinsee I think was the darkest the quickest. Very surprising she tans so well since she's blonde and blue eyed but she does. Poor Kaijsa has the hardest time tanning. It was fun though. We are anxiously awaiting the day we can get into Papa Eoff's pool. Kaitlyn keeps checking on it. Thanks for family for some nice time out. Thank you girls for being so wonderful. We love you! We love that we're together. Kamden "called" Kira every day to invite her and talk with her. It was so cute. I love that we all think of Kira each day and include her in our prayers and thoughts. She is missed. Can't wait till summertime when she's with us again. Now the girls are back in school and the little ones walk around the house calling out for them. Cute but sad. Back to the grind and regular routine till the next break. Love you Kaijsa, Kaitlyn, Kira, Kamden, and Kinsee. We love you too Larry Dean.

Kamden's Love

Kaijsa's best friend Rachel is over quite a bit and she is loved by the whole family. When she isn't around Kamden is always asking where she is. It is so cute. Since the kids were on Spring Break last week Rachel came over and stayed the night. Kamden was in heaven. He loves her so much. Here are a couple of pics of them. She is a doll and we're glad she's in our lives. Rachel....you are welcome any time.

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!

I don't have any pictures because today isn't going to go as I had planned. Does any day really go as I plan? I was going to get up and make green eggs or green pancakes but then was told last night while working that there is a meeting today. My boss from Australia is coming into town and wanted to meet all of us on the Virtual Team. Since I haven't met anyone I work with either and because it's required I'm going to my meeting. I'll be taking the kids with me and putting them in another booth, sure hope they can behave. We are going to have Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner though so that's Irish-ish. Other than that nothing planned. The days this week have been and are supposed to be beautiful so the kids have been playing outside. Hope that continues. The poor girls are on vacation but we don't have anything planned, bummer for them. This is a short post. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day and may the luck of the Irish be with you.

Haircuts

Kamden is the only one here that got his hair cut. I shaved it all off for the summer. The girls like it a bit longer so that we can spike it up so maybe next time not so short. We'll see. Larry got his cut too but needs a highlight before he'll let me take any pictures of him. :) Kaijsa hasn't said anything about a cut so her hair is still cute in the layers she has. Kinsee I'm still deciding on. She hasn't had a haircut and I'd like to trim it up and even it up but I like it longer. I've thought of a bob for her for summer but it's so nice to pull up and out of her face now that it's longer. I got mine cut for summer and 6 kids. It's easier shorter. Plus my mom always said the older you get the shorter it should be. I most of the time agree with this. Long hair on older ladies drives me nuts. I may grow it out some but not sure I'll go really long again. All I do it throw it up in a ponytail when it's long. This way it at least feels styled. Plus with 6 kids, or almost 6 kids, it's nice to have it short and easy. Hope y'all like it.

Kaijsa and her Early Birthday

The slide show is of us at the Gaylord Texan for Kaijsa's 16th Birthday. You may be asking...is it her b-day already? The answer is no. We surprised her with the trip to the Hotel as an early birthday present. The Gaylord Texan is fantastic! There is so much to see and do. It is hard to get a feel for how big and beautiful this hotel really is. It is an amazing place. We had a fantastic time swimming and walking around. We will do something small for her sweet 16 but wanted to do something now since her Birthday falls on Easter this year. The trip was so much fun we wish we would have had more time. Happy early Sweet 16 Kaijsa Ray! We love you! We are so glad we could do this for you and create such fun memories. We'll put more pics up later. Kaijsa had some on her camera that we need to download yet. I may wait to post those on her actual birthday. Love ya daughter of ours!

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn had a UIL competition a couple of Saturdays ago. I know, I'm super slow about telling all about it. She was 1 of 7 kids chosen from her school to attend the competition! We were so excited for her. Her school and around 9 others were involved in an academic competition. Her category was Music Memory. She had to memorize 20 Classical Songs. She had to know their Titles, Composers and the correct spelling of them. She studied and was quick to memorize the songs. We took her to the competition in Waxahachie and she ended up with a 100%! She knew the composers, titles and spelled everything correctly. She got a medal, a certificate of excellence and was honored at school on their Cat News. We are proud of you Kaitlyn! Congrats on the success. Not many, if any at all, did as well as she did. Way to go WildCat!

On a side note. Kaitlyn has been taking her TAKS tests and has received a 95%, 95% and a 100% on them. She is so excited because it means she may, most likely, will be taking Pre-AP classes next year.

Kaijsa has also been taking some TAKS tests but she won't get her results till May. We are sure she did great. She feels like she did fantastic on it and we are sure she did. She is doing well with school and has kept her grades up...so she may get her license after all in another month. We love you Kaijsa!
