Kaileigh a few days old

Here are a few pictures we've taken since bringing Kaileigh home. We don't take too many but I wanted to post a few. We'll try and take more this weekend. It will be her first 4th of July and her first Sunday so we'll dress her cute. She is still a good baby. She only gets up once during the night, I sure hope that continues. The kids all love her as do her daddy and I. She is a gem and it's so cute to see the little ones with her. Babies are amazing and Kai is a special spirit we've been blessed to have in our home and family.

Kaileigh Jeanette Saling 6.26.09

Here are a few pictures we took at the hospital with our newest baby girl. Her name is Kaileigh or Kai for short with Jeanette being the middle name. Jeanette is after my mom. She weighed 8 lbs even which surprised us because we all thought she would be bigger. 8 lbs is good for me though. She was 19 inches which is exactly what Kamden and Kinsee were. She was born at 2:03pm after just a couple of hours labor. She has beautiful dark hair and beautiful eyes. She has a sweet spirit about her and we're blessed to have her in our home. She is getting lots of love and attention from her brother and sisters which is fun for mom and dad to watch. We also appreciate the help they give. Kaijsa, Kaitlyn, Jen, Larry and I were in the delivery room. Jen helped me out and was a great support. Kaijsa and Kaitlyn got to watch and see how a baby is born (good birth control right? lol) and Larry got to deliver his newest daughter! He was thrilled that Dr. Brown talked him through it and he got to do everything. I think it's wonderful for him and for her. I love him and love that he enjoys doing things like this. I'm so glad Kaijsa and Kaitlyn were there with us too. It was so nice to have family around. My dad was able to come and see her later and I loved seeing him with her. She just left my mom and I know she sent us Kaileigh with lots of love. It's hard to not have her with us but I know she was there and is with us. I'm not sure who she looks like but I'm sure her personality will develop and we'll figure it out soon. We are home now and doing well. We want all our family and friends to know we love and appreciate all you do and have done for us. We wish you could all be closer but know your thoughts and prayers are with us. I'll try to keep you posted on her growth weekly but as we all know a house with 6 kids can get crazy. Kaileigh Jeanette we love you! Welcome home!

Happy Father's Day!

This is a picture of My mom's Dad. He is a great man and was/is a great father to his family. We love him very much. I wish we lived closer to him so he could get to know his great-grandkids better.

This is a picture of my Dad. He's a terrific dad and we love him tons! He's an even greater Papa and I'm so glad he is close by to know his grandkids from our family. I do wish Drew and his family was closer so they could see Papa every day/week like we do. He is a special man. Love you Daddy.

This is a picture of Larry's Dad. He too is a great man and loves his family very much. Again I wish we lived closer to them so our kids could know him better but I am glad for phone calls and video msgs on the computer. Modern Technology can be a blessing and a curse.

This is a picture of Larry, a wonderful Father. He is a great husband and father and I'm so grateful Heavenly Father has given him to us. He is great with the kids and does so much for us. I'm glad that 2 of the 3 girls are with us to know and love him like daughters should. I so wish Kira was here too. There is something about a Daddy and daughter relationship that is so special. I can't forget the relationship between Daddy's and sons too. Kamden loves his daddy and Larry loves his boy. We love you Larry Dean!

This is a tribute to all the Dad's in our lives. My mom had a great dad, My dad is fantastic, Larry's dad is wonderful and I have come to love him too, and Larry, he is a wonderful Dad. I'm so blessed to have all these great men in my life and the kids are blessed to have all these men in their lives. They truly are amazing and great examples of what Dad's should be like. They all serve, love God, and treat their families amazing. They are the World's Best Dads. We love all y'all! I hope each of you had a terrific Father's Day! May we honor you each and every day too.

P.S. I didn't put up a pic but my brother is a great Dad too! Love ya Drew!

Baby Update

Sorry I'm not posting much or putting any pictures up. I haven't really taken any and have actually been pretty busy. Crazy, I know.

I had another Dr's appt today so thought I'd share what happened. Last week was my U/S which showed we're still having a girl and she's a healthy size. Today he told me that if I'm not dilated or not much anyways that I could go in next week. Originally it was going to be Friday the 26th but he may let me go in as early as Wed. I have my last appt before the birth on Wed. morning so....anytime between Wed and Friday this big bundle of joy will arrive. I'm hoping this birth/delivery is as easy as Kamden and Kinsee's were. We are slowly getting things ready for her and I'm sure by the time she comes we'll be ready.

Kaijsa and Kaitlyn have been a huge help in getting things together for the arrival. They helped me before they left for camp and will help me when they get home. They get home from Girls Camp on Saturday and I'm excited for their return. I miss them. They keep me up at night while I'm working and it's fun to have them around. Kam and Kinsee Belle are always asking where they are and want them home too. Their help around the house is nice but I must admit I've done ok considering w/out them...ok so the house is a wreck but otherwise.

I hope everyone's summer is going well. I'm hoping Kaijsa has taken pictures while at Girls Camp that we can post. Otherwise the baby will be the next post. Wish us luck!

Baby

I had my Dr's appt today and he did an U/S to verify the size of the baby. I've been measuring big so he wanted to see if she really was as big as we were thinking. Well...I'm 36 weeks on Friday so as of today our little baby girl is 7 1/2 lbs and measuring 38 weeks. I'm going to have a big baby girl. They saw a lot of hair which excites me. I will be induced on June 26th and it can't come soon enough. By that time she'll probably be 10 lbs! The girls went with us and they were like she is huge! She's dropped and could come at any time but the official date is the 26th.

I fell yesterday, slipped on some water and did the splits. Some contractions and cramping but when I went to the hospital after some monitoring they said everything looked ok. I'm to take it easy which we all know is hard to do when you have kids around and it's summer time. :) But the girls and Larry have been helping and I got some rest yesterday. I'm hurting but will survive I'm sure.

Still trying to decide on Karsyn or Kaileigh but I think I'm leaning towards Karsyn. She seems to move more when I call her that name. :) I'll wait to see her to officially decide.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! We are enjoying the hot sun and cool pool. Girls are heading off to Girls Camp next week and then the week after we have to get ready for the baby! So much to do to get ready. I'm starting to panic.

Congrats Kira!

This weekend our Kira was in a Pageant for Little Miss Emory. It was her first attempt at the Pageantry competition and she did very well. She got 2nd place and we're so proud of her! She is a beautiful girl with many talents. We know this was a good experience for her and one she can learn from. Next year she'll be more knowledgeable about how the system works and will do well. Kira you are lovely and we are so proud of you. We are sure you had fun doing all the events and have grown so much since we last spent time with you. We miss you and want you to know you are always and forever a part of our family. You have a special spirit that touches the hearts of many. As you continue to try new things and gain new experiences you will go far and learn much. We are here for you. Your Dad, sisters, brother, and I all love you and pray for you each day. We are counting down the days till we get to see you this summer. We love you! Congrats on 2nd place in the Pageant! That is Awesome!

Happy Birthday Dad - Papa

Happy Birthday Dad/Papa. We all love you so much! You are the best Dad in the world - really. You are always there for each one of us. You teach us, support us, love us, serve us, and are the greatest example to each of us. Thank you for all you do for us and our future families. I'm sure life hasn't turned out quite as expected but you are a strength to us and those who know you. No one measures up to how great you are. We hope you had a good birthday and can have your dreams fulfilled in time. Thank you again for everything. We love you! So glad to be a part of your life and family.
My dad is in the picture - he's in the back row. The pic is of the family this past Christmas. You have a good posterity dad. Love you.

Random Pictures from the Birthdays

Ok, so finally I'm sitting here posting some of the pictures from Kaitlyn and Kinsee's birthdays. The pictures are in no particular order and from 2 different cameras but here they are. Kinsee is 2 and Kaitlyn is 12 and they both love being older. Kait is so excited to go to Young Women's Camp. Her present from Janet is that she doesn't have to go out to UT this summer. She is excited to be able to stay home and work, play, and bond with the baby. Kinsee, Kamden and I have been spending a lot of time in Papa's pool and loving it. We're getting so dark, especially the little ones. Kaijsa just burns but she's trying. Kait gets dark too and once they are out of school I'm sure they'll be there with us every day. Kaijsa will be working a lot but that's how life goes as we get older. The time at the zoo was fun. We got a membership so we'll go back often. Maybe when I'm not so pregnant and I can walk around easier. :) The kids love going there and it's close so that is nice. The is one picture of Kaitlyn at her final Choir Concert. It was themed Broadway and was a lot of fun. Jen and Papa were able to go with us and they had desserts so that's even nicer. It's always so much fun to watch our kids perform in things and share their talents. I love it. I always feel like such a proud Mom. Kaitlyn was accepted into Varsity Choir next year which is normally 8th graders but she was good enough to get in. We're proud of her. She's excited because next year with varsity choir they get to have a competition in San Antonio. School trips are always enjoyed. Only a couple of more days of school and then out for summer. We are all very excited. Good job girls on a year well done. You both had fantastic grades and worked hard. We love you and appreciate all you do! Have a fun summer!

Hope your summer is fun too Kira! She's been out for a while now. We get her on July 26th and can't wait! Love you too Kira!

Random Thought

I'm up late working, as usual, and got to thinking of the baby's name. I like Kaileigh Rose (Kai) for short but really like the name Karsyn (spelling to be determined). Do any of y'all have an opinion? They both sound good with the other names but I just think Karsyn is a little more unique than Kaileigh. I don't know. I may just have to see her to decide. Let me know what you think. Karsyn Rose or Kaileigh Rose. Thanks.
