Opening Day!

Here are pictures from our Opening Day of Baseball and Soccer. The baseball council did a big ceremony while soccer didn't. It was a fun day but a long day. When we did get home the kids were wiped out.

Kait's team the Gators lost by 1 point. They played well but just weren't good enough I guess. Now they know and will win the next one. It was good for them to play together and get the season started. Way to go Kait! We're proud of you! Good job!

Kam had the opening day ceremony at 9:30am then I took him, Kinsee and Kai to IHOP for breakfast while Kait had to get ready for her game. We then watched Kait's game. Had lunch and then Kamden played. T-ball is so fun. The little kids are so cute and so excited. He has another game on Monday night. We're off and running with all the craziness of practices and games. Some days it really will be crazy. He did good and had fun which is the important part.

Kinsee Belle played on the play grounds most of the day and had a great time. Kai was really good too and just sat, crawled and played. It was really windy and it's wiped us out and made us a bit sick today. But we enjoyed ourselves and the kids were great and did great.

Now through May our weekends and most weeknights are booked with games and practices. I sometimes wonder what I've gotten us into but we're loving it. I love having kids involved in things and happy. Now to get Kinsee involved in Gymnastics is my goal.

Here's to a busy spring and the beautiful weather ahead this week. Good job kids! We love you!

Getting Ready for Easter

Here are some pictures of us having a good time on a wonderful Spring day coloring Easter Eggs. The Myers Family came over and we made dinner and colored Easter Eggs. It was so much fun! We had lasagna for dinner and the kids had a great time together. I love this time of year. The eggs turned out cute and there were no major accidents. Kam threw a fit when there were no more eggs but otherwise there was no fighting or crying. Dinner turned out good and the company was great.

Kaijsa is busy getting ready for Prom. Her big day is next Friday and she has a lot of people helping her get ready. We found a beautiful blue gown. Melissa and Becca are adjusting the dress, adding a jacket, and creating jewelry for her. Marti (sorry I don't know how you spell your name, I'm lame) is doing her hair and putting it up and curling it. Jamie is coloring and trimming her hair, doing her nails, waxing her eyebrows (first time hehe) and putting on eyelashes. We are so incredibly grateful to all these wonderful women who are helping our Kaijsa become even more beautiful for her Prom. I can't wait to see the end effect and take some pictures. Thank you again everyone!

Kaitlyn has her first soccer game on Saturday. We were snowed/rained out last week so this weekend is the big day. She is ready and excited. She is doing well in school and getting ready for TAKS tests in April. Violin is also going well. Good luck Kait on your game! Go Gators!

Kamden has his Opening Day for Baseball on Saturday too. We will be at the Sports Complex all day. I'm glad it's going to be in the 70's. He has Opening Ceremony at 9:20 with his game at 2:30. Kait's game is at Noon at the same place. He looks so cute in his uniform. I will be taking a bunch of pictures of my cute ball player. He's actually catching on to the game pretty well and will be great at it if he wants to. Go Cardinals!

Kinsee Belle is as sassy and busy as ever. I want to get her into Gymnastics and will look into it once things slow down a bit and she turns 3. She loves going to practices and playing hard. She is adorable.

Kaileigh is growing up. She is 9 months today and very busy. She is sitting up, rolling all over, and is even crawling now! She is getting to be pretty fast. She loves being mobile and loves her bath time. Kai we love you!

All the kids are doing well. We've had a few colds but mostly because of allergies and the weird weather we've had. The next week is supposed to be in the 70's and even get into the 80's. I'm super excited for that. The little 3 are eating me out of house and home. Kam has grown 2 inches in a month. I think he's grown even more since the last time I checked. Kai is growing and eating a bunch. She is also teething. She has at least 6 now and getting more. Kinsee just grazes. They can all eat all day and are constantly saying "I'm hungry". I've learned to keep healthy snacks around for them. I love my kids and am so grateful for all of them and all they do to help me. Kaijsa has been the driver to take kids to practice. Larry gets one and Kaijsa takes the other. Thank you to both of you.

Larry is doing really well and we're thankful for that. He's been helping us and our friends out and is enjoying being healthier. We love you Larry Dean! You're a wonderful Husband and Father.

I've been busy with work, kids, house and me. I've been trying to get some exercising in but lately have had a hard time doing that. I'm trying to figure out how to fit everything into my day...so far not so good. I will figure it out though, I will. I did get the Easter decorations out the other day. The downstairs is kept up ok but the upstairs needs some work. Kam and Kinsee Belle have lost most of their toys and books because the are throwing them out the windows and not being good to them. My job may be changing. I may have to move to later at night which doesn't really excite me but may have to be. I may be changing my hours from 4-midnight to 9pm - 3am. I'm not a night person so we'll see how this goes. I'll know more in a week or two. We've been watching New Moon quite a bit and the Blind Side. We love these movies.

Ok, enough of me talking. Sometimes I just get carried away sorry. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter! We're thankful for Christ and all He does for us and this season to remember Him. Happy Easter!

Tax Returns and Fun Family Gifts

Sorry it's been a while since my last post. I really do intend to write more often but then think to myself "what have we been doing?" Plus I always like to post pictures with my ramblings and I haven't really taken too many lately. I will try to do better and probably can since we've become a bit busier. Kids are involved in things and the weather is nicer so we can be outside. Easter is coming up, I love Easter, and birthdays are just around the corner. So here is the beginning of hopefully a new habit of posting our doings more frequently.

This is my adorable Kamden. He was in the process of getting ready for church and I had to take a picture. So even though he has no shoes on and his hair isn't done I had to take it. He looks so cute in his new suit. He's starting to look like such a kid and not a toddler/baby anymore. He's tall and handsome my Kam. He's loving T-ball and is actually pretty good at it.

This is our adorable Kaileigh. Kai is such a doll and still so sweet mannered. She is going to be 9 months this week and I can hardly believe it. She is growing up so fast. We love having her in our home. I'm so glad my mom and Heavenly Father sent us Kai.

Kinsee Belle, what do I say. She is feisty and sassy and becoming more of both every day. But she can be so sweet and is so pretty. She loves helping out and playing. She has even shown an interest in coloring and art. She needs to be in gymnastics and I hope to get her in a class after her birthday. We love our Kinsee Belle no matter how trying she can be.
All of the kids have such cute laughs. I love listening to them play together and laugh together. They can be terrors but can be so loving and fun at the same time. I love my kids and am so grateful for all they help with and do.
Kaijsa and Kaitlyn I don't have pics of but they are doing wonderful and are busy. Kaitlyn has soccer and violin plus school. Kaijsa is learning how to compose her own piano music and is getting ready for her first dual credit college/high school class.

We had ANOTHER snow day on Sunday. This has been the craziest winter for Texas. I'm so ready for spring. The problem is we have beautiful spring days with a winter day thrown in the middle. It is keeping us all nice and sick. Oh well. Those beautiful Texas Spring days are wonderful and I love Love LOVE them! I love having my doors and windows open. I love the sun shining into my house and the sound of kids playing outside.

The new TV for my bedroom. I love it and am enjoying it more than I thought I would. I can even see it without my glasses on. :)

This is the new TV for upstairs. We are loving this one as well. It's taken us or rather me some getting used to. I'm still not very good at working it. We got the Wi Fi one so we can watch netflix on it. The TV control opens up like a cell phone for you to type the show in that you want. It's crazy fun. We still have our pause, rewind, fast foward and DVR. Can't live without that and we've upgraded to HD. My Larry Dean and his boy toys. He loves it and it's been fun for the kids and their movies. I enjoy it for the Wii and exercising. The picture is so clear. Anyways....that's where our tax return went to and we are happy with our new purchases. We have been blessed this year and hope we continue to see the blessings in our lives. We are grateful for our family and friends.

Ramblings...

There are several pictures here that travel through several weeks. We have a few from our day out at the Zoo. We bought a Dallas Zoo membership this past year and have really enjoyed it. The kids love going and I do too. I have always found going to the zoo to be relaxing, weird I know but true. This time we went with Camille and her kids. We have become very good friends and our kids are together a lot. It was a great day out. We are thinking of renewing it this year too but haven't decided yet.

There are several pictures of Kai. I was trying to let y'all see the different faces of Kai but of course she didn't want to cooperate. So you see a few faces of Kai. She is becoming quite the personality. She puckers up, she smirks (which reminds me of Papa and Uncle Drew), she smiles (just like GramE and Great-Grandma), and she has her serious side too. She is now 8 months and still very laid back. She is my most laid back relaxed child. She is not interested in crawling, and really why should she when there are plenty of people around to hold her? She does get around though by pulling or pushing herself along the floor. She sits up and plays quietly. She is now standing up against the furniture and seems more excited about walking than crawling. She loves music and hates baby food. If she's going to eat it's the bottle or real food. I think she may be my toughest to wean from the bottle and binkie. We'll see. She is an ok sleeper although I think she was a better sleeper when she was younger. She gets up often now hungry or just wanting to be comforted. She is definitely my most spoiled baby. I've been more lax with her, probably because she is the baby. Oh well...we'll work on it. Since she's such a happy baby it's so much fun to cuddle with her. She reminds me of my mom and her mom.

Kaijsa has found some fun books lately and has enjoyed reading them. I love watching her read and to see her excited about books. She is also getting very good at playing the piano. She has been asked to play the prelude music before Sacrament meetings at church on Sundays. We're excited for her. She received her Young Women's Medallion and it's beautiful. She and Kait went to the temple the other night and had a wonderful time together. It's so great to see them bonding as sisters.

Kait is getting ready for her TAKS tests. She is also working for her violin lessons and enjoying them. She is signed up for Soccer but we haven't heard from the coach yet. Hmmm. Kait is also getting better at the piano. I'm so glad to see my mom's piano being used so much. I know she'd be happy as well.

Kamden is I fear a little more wild than before. He loves Primary and enjoys going. He is becoming more independent which is fun to watch. He keeps us busy for sure. He is getting better with his numbers and letters and will sing along to the songs he knows Kaijsa loves. Too cute.

Kinsee Belle is growing up. She is looking more like a cute girl instead of the pretty toddler. She is super sassy though and can throw a pretty mean pout/tantrum. I have no idea who she takes after. hehe. She is more independent than Kamden I think which will be interesting to watch as she gets older. She is my gymnast and I can't wait till we can sign her up for something.

Kaileigh is growing and teething. Need I say more? Teething...big sigh.

Larry is doing well which is nice to see. I'm working and trying to plan something fun for the summer. I'm ready for the warm TX weather to return. Although I'm sure we're warmer than some of y'all it's still cold for TX. Where is my Spring and can it hurry and come already? I have so many plans and want to get them started. :)
