Family photo shoot 2013

OH well. We met Jen the other day at South Mountain to get some family photos taken and updated pics of the kids. Now that it has finally cooled off it was a nice hike and we got several pictures that I like. They are all growing up so fast! Kaijsa, Kaitlyn and Kira are doing well. They are busy and we don't hear from them a ton but we enjoy the times we do. It was great seeing them this summer and look forward to when we can all get together again. They are happy and that's what's important. Kamden and Kinsee are loving their teachers and have made good friends. Kam is playing soccer and finishing up his season. We can see much improvement from when he played in the Spring. Kinsee was going to play soccer but ended up breaking her arm at the 2nd practice so had to drop out this season. She is very ready to get back in the game. Don't let her fool you though the broken arm didn't stop her from jumping around and doing what she wanted. Both Kinsee and Kamden are going to sign up to play flag football which should be fun/interesting. Kai is enjoying dance and preschool. She's still quieter then the others but loves to do her own thing. She's actually a good little dancer. Kallen wants to play sports and do all that his older siblings are doing so bad. When the time comes there will be no stopping him. He's going to be 3 in a couple of weeks and is potty trained and doing well in preschool. All the kids are great and loving life in Maricopa. We have a great Ward and wonderful friends. It feels like home and we like it. Now that winter time is here we'll like it even more :) Summers can be rough but we still like AZ. We are in the process of picking out Halloween costumes and I will post pics of them all dressed up when the time comes. Larry gets tests done often but the Dr's are keeping up with him and he's hanging tough and doing well. My job is going well and should be changing up a bit again in the new year which is fine. I like what I do and am blessed to be able to do it from home. Life is good and the gospel is true! Hope y'all can see the pics.

Spring Vacation to Vegas and Bryce Canyon UT

I didn't feel like going through them all so you get the good, bad and the ugly. We had a great time. On the way to UT we stayed in Vegas at The Orleans. It was nice and fun. Food was good too. On the way we stopped at Hoover Dam and walked along the new bridge and enjoyed our little bit of site seeing. Kids enjoyed it too. We wondered around the strip that night and saw the fountains at The Bellagio which the kids enjoyed. We all had a great time. UT was colder than expected but fun too. Got to see Larry's family which was nice. Sage looked beautiful as the new bride and the cousins all had fun swimming and playing. On the way home we stayed in Vegas again at The Monte Carlo this time. The pools were nice (they have a regular pool, hot tub, wave pool and lazy river). The room was better at the Orleans as was the food. Monte Carlo was fun but wouldn't stay there again. Larry and I are coming up on our 10th Anniversary and had fun visiting vegas again. We went there on our honeymoon and enjoyed showing the kids the lights and fun of vegas. It was a nice vacation but we're glad to be back home where it's warmer. :)

California Trip to Beach and Legoland

I've never been to CA so it was fun for us to go. We just up and went one day after the kids got home from school. A surprise trip. We loved it and can't wait to go back. Legoland was perfect for the kids. The beach was nice at sunset although the water was very cold. It was a quick trip but we loved the hotel we stayed in and loved CA. The kids would like to go back this summer and we just might do that. The drive isn't far and the fun was worth it. The displays made out of legos were amazing. The Star Wars exhibit was incredible. So much fun. Plus I'm always happy at the beach.

Easter and fun with Papa 2013

If you go to that link you should be able to see our Easter pictures while my dad was in town. There are a couple St. Patrick's Day too. I just attached all the pictures because I'm too lazy to go through them all and I'm so far behind in blogging. So some are good and some are not but you see the process of all the in between. It was great to have my dad here. I love my dad! We had fun hanging out and doing a few projects around the house. He hung out with the kids while I mostly worked. I hated that I didn't have more time off with him but we had fun nonetheless. We saw G.I. Joe which was good. The weather was perfect so we got to spend quite a bit of time outside. We had a good Easter holiday with him. Saw a Diamondbacks Game (sort of) and ate well. I'm grateful for my time with him and that the kids can know him. I can't believe how fast the year is going by. I have a ton of posts and pictures to catch up on so I'll keep trying to take time to do it. We've had a busy year and have a lot to update. Kamden turned 7. Kira turned 13. Kaijsa turned 20. I turned 38, hard to believe. We took a trip to California and Legoland. We took a trip to Utah for a wedding. Now we are getting ready for Kaitlyn's, Kinsee's, Larry's and Kaileigh's birthdays. Also summer vacation and everything else that happens. I've started substitute teaching which isn't bad. My job is going well. Larry's health is steady. Kallen is a ton of fun and the kids keep us busy. Hugs and loves to those we care about!
