Birthday Weekend at the Lodge

Here are some pictures of us for our Birthday vacation. We took Rachel, Kaijsa's best friend, with us to the Great Wolfe Lodge. It was the greatest place and all of us had a good time. The waterpark had something for everyone, slides, tornado ride, lazy river, wave pool, baskeball court, adult hot tub and family/kid hot tub, little lagoon for little ones and a discovery area. There was Magic Quest for kids of all ages too. You get a wand and you have to run all over the hotel trying to find different treasures for different quests, I think there are around 15 different quests. If you use the elevator you get points taken off so you have to go up and down 8 flights of stairs to find it all, over and over again. There was a kids spa, a grown up spa, a fitness center, several places to eat, a Cub Club you could make your own souveniers, a gift shop, fantastic food, wonderful rooms/suites and fantastic service. We loved it there! It was a great b-day/ weekend for all of us.

Kaijsa still has yet to get her Driver's License but hopefully sometime this week. Our schedules just don't match up with the DMV hours of operation. She is growing up so beautifully. There are no pictures of Kaijsa's cake because it didn't turn out. I need to do another one and see if I can't put it together right the next time. Happy Birthday Kaijsa Ray! Sweet 16!

All of us are doing really well. The weather has turned very spring-like which we are loving. Now we're just getting ready for a couple more b-days and the baby. So much to do and so little time.

Thank you to family and friends for love and support. Thank you for the gifts and being there for us. We love and appreciate all y'all.

Easter

Here are the kids coloring eggs for the Easter Bunny. They had a lot of fun not only coloring the eggs but looking for them too. Kaijsa and Kaitlyn didn't really get to look or maybe they didn't want too (they are too old for stuff like that). They did help the little ones though. We hid confetti eggs at our house and once we found them we broke them all over eachother. We then went to Papa's Easter Saturday to hunt for the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid there for them. We had a wonderful dinner with Papa and Jennie and enjoyed being together. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun. We hunted eggs, played games, ate lots of candy and just spent time together. Larry tried to put his kite together to fly but the strings were too tangled up. We'll work on that and fly it soon. The girls had beautiful dresses and Kamden had his cute suit for church Easter Sunday. You can see those outfits in the Bluebonnet pictures. Easter Sunday was also Kaijsa's Sweet 16 birthday. Now she can officially drive, once we take her to get her license that is. I'm going to post more on the birthday weekend later as there are pictures to go with the post. Thank you Papa and Jennie for the wonderful Easter dinner! Thank you kids for being such wonderful kids. We missed Kira but did get to talk to her for a minute and she is doing well. Thank you to our Savior for his life and example to us. How wonderful that we can have a holiday to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior. We love him and are so grateful for the Love He has for us. We hope all those we know and love had a memorable Easter Holiday.

Birthday Dinner at Babes

We went out for dinner today at Babe's Chicken House Restaurant. It is our favorite place to eat. They make the best smoked chicken anywhere. The other food there is fabulous as well. Plus when you go for your b-day you get to dress up as a chicken and do the chicken dance. Kaijsa and I have our birthdays just a day apart so we celebrate by eating dinner together and then she'll get her own day with a cake next weekend. I'm still trying to think of what to do for her cake. She's a little bummed that her b-day falls on Easter this year but we'll try to do things just for her. Happy Birthday Kaijsa and Mom. Thanks Papa for dinner it was fantastic as always. Thanks Rachel for coming to celebrate with us. We love our family and friends. Birthdays are special days and we're grateful to be able to spend those special moments with those we love. We missed Larry as he wasn't feeling well but we brought home some of the leftovers which he enjoyed. Love you Larry Dean/Daddy.

Blue Bonnet Pictures

Every year the Texas flower comes out and we take pictures. The Blue Bonnets are so beautiful and there are fields of them. I love this time of the year, it means Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner. Today was our picture day. My sister, Jennie, came with us to take the pictures. We dressed up in our Easter outfits and stepped into the field of flowers. Jen did a great job of taking pictures. I've put some of them into the slide show. The only family member who isn't with us is Kira and she is missed. We love her and know she'd love having her picture taken in the beautiful field of blue bonnets. The kids looked wonderful in their Easter outfits, they are getting older and when they are all dressed up I notice it most. They are beautiful kids and I am so grateful to have all of them in my life and in our family. Larry and I are truly very blessed. In a picture or two you may even see my belly with Kaileigh Rose. We are looking forward to her arrival. Anyways...it was windy, more than we would have liked it to be, but the pictures turned out well anyway. Thank you family for humoring mom and getting all dressed up on a Saturday morning to take pictures. I love y'all!
